New Crafty Capers Bags!

Cait and Emma model our fun bags.

We finally got our frequent customer bags for Crafty Capers. They are a medium sized, rectangular messenger bag with our store logo on the front flap. The bags come in five beautiful colors including smoke, brick, pink, khaki (it's more of a brown), and denim blue.
Just like at Stitches & Scones every time you make a purchase and you have the bag with you, you will receive 10% off yarn, needles, patterns, books, small needle accessories, and special orders for all the previous items. The Crafty Capers bags apply to Crafty Capers and Stitches & Scones merchandise, as do the Stitches & Scones frequent customer bags.

Shelby is a Natural

At twelve years old, this dancer is also a knitter and a spinner. We enjoy watching her participate in the fiber arts. Grandma Barbara likes it too.

Young Knitter Finishes Her Scarf

Laine did a great job with her first finished project. Her scarf is beautiful. A felted Party Purse is next. Let us know if you know someone who wants to join one of Faith's Beginning Knitting classes. http://stitchesnscones.com/cgi-bin/classes

Elizabeth

Hello Everyone! My name is Elizabeth and I'm new to Crafty Capers. I am so excited to be working here in this fabulous store. I'm the oldest of four, home schooled, and I take ballet. I'm also a spinner and I knit some too. I've been on a spinning team with Lisa (who works at Crafty Capers as well) for about five years and found out about the store from her. I learned to knit and spin at Conner Prairie when I was a youth interpreter and fell in love with it. I received my own wheel from my grandma a few years ago and am now saving up for a loom. I think that knitting, spinning, and weaving are really relaxing and fun to do and would like to encourage people to get involved. Come over to Crafty Capers or Stitches and Scones and we would be glad to help get you started!

A Bittersweet Farewell

This has really been a fun experience that was way too short-lived. It was just a week or so ago that I introduced myself to everyone. Now, here I am bidding you farewell. Life has a funny way of turning upside down sometimes, especially when you are just getting very comfortable. When I hired on with Molli and the staff, my husband and I were suspicious that things might change, but it all changed much quicker than we ever expected. We were blessed by a VERY quick sale of our home, which was only 6 months old! Now, we are in the process of packing and preparing to move yet again, consolidating two houses full of "stuff" into one and simplifying our lives. It has been wonderful having the opportunity to help launch such a fun business as Crafty Capers. Everyone must come in to check out everything we have in store for Hamilton County youth. I can only imagine stopping back in sometime this summer to find the store bursting at the seams with customers and classes. I wish Molli and the entire staff the best of success. I will miss you! Claire

Brianna

Hey everyone, my name is Brianna. I am looking forward to working at Crafty Capers, and seeing all the new people interested in knitting. My mother taught me to knit when I was eight years old as well as spinning, and I have loved it ever since. Many of my eleven siblings know how to knit, and it is fun to see the progress they make. I currently work Saturdays, and I look forward to seeing you at the store.
